My reaction was the same as yours. I was instantly stunned and speechless, consumed by waves of unexpected emotion. Its been a couple months now i think since i first heard it. As a relatively new "Christian" i was totally enraptured by Dan. I think i watched it 5 or 6 times just so i could process all the emotions. I immediately posted it to my FB page and all my friends were blown away too. I am talking about people from their 30s to the late 70s. Can you imagine a 77 yo woman being brought to tears by this? As one friend pointed out, this version could usher un a new generation of believers, seeing that a religous song can be performed in such a style that resonates with them.
Dans rendition is utter PERFECTION in my book!!!
