All of this is good except for the first scene of barging in without permission especially if a woman is staying in. Forget father in law, I wouldn't be happy if my father steps in without knocking. It's about privacy.

The reason I am telling this is my father in law used to just barge in without knocking the door when I was breast-feeding my boy. He has no bad intentions that I am 100% aware of. But, it was very awkward and I always had to lock the door whenever I am breast-feeding. Even if you are a good person and treat your DIL as your own daughter, you should have some boundaries and manners. She is not a 5 year old, but a grown up woman who needs privacy. Please respect that.

Secondly, we girls have always been taught from a very young age to not let any man touch you, sit next to you in close proximity. That is so ingrained in pir brains that we can't let anyone other than our husband or brother, someone who you knew only after marriage to sit so close to you. It definitely pisses me off. So, boundaries!! Dear dads and dads in law.
