This is a man with over 200 goals for his club in the last 8 years. He has records that could compete with the likes of Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer and yet he's called worse than Eden Hazard

This is why I can’t take the ballon d’or seriously. Grimaldo, Lookman, Dias, Hummels, Dovbyk? All great players who had a great season. But these man are in contention for the ballon d’or ahead of Mo Salah??? Absolute madness.

Whether people like it or not, Salah is one of the best EPL players in history. His records speak for itself.

That goal against Man City back in 2021 was so ridiculous, I remember screaming about the goal. I personally don’t think Salah is disrespected by intelligent fans.

Mo is the Egyptian version of Sonny when it comes to disrespect. They're both incredible talent with not enough respect.

This man has over 300 goal contributions for Liverpool, should realistically be considered a Premier League legend despite not regularly being in the conversation. France football has to be biased (or specifically focused on the UCL).

He’s not British, he’s not white, he’s not Brazilian, he plays for Liverpool and is a Muslim, if he was called jack thomas and was white and Played for any other English team people would rightly call him what he is the premier leagues best ever right winger nobody comes close not even bale (bale was better when he moved to Madrid salah has a better premier league legacy)

LFC fan here. I think most people just don’t gravitate towards players who’s game isn’t flashy. I honestly believe Haaland has been head and shoulders above anyone else in football since his arrival at City but because he only scores goals and isn’t a fancy player he isn’t hyped as much. Also another factor which applies to both of these players is not playing for a good national team, removing them from the spotlight in euro/world cup seasons.

The one season wonder is still dominating the league till now. 😂😂

They once called him a “one season wonder”.

Now he creates wonders every season.

Regarding the point about Egypt, I've seen their games. The opposition man-mark him with 3 or 4 players knowing that the other Egyptian players are just not good enough

I think he isn't recognized as much as other good players in the Prem, but should be. He is essential to Liverpool and has contributed to almost every goal so far this season. Without him, Liverpool would probably drop down 2-3 spots in the table IMO (I say that as a Liverpool fan).

For a long time, I hated on Salah because ppl were saying he was better than Hazard meanwhile there often were times he wasn’t even the best player on the pitch for his squad (Firmino or Mane were). That is over. He’s clear above all of those guys and he’s a Prem legend.

He is one of the, maybe even the best, prem winger of all time. The fact people still try and say hazard is better is crazy to me

Even as a United fan, I can acknowledge that Salah is a legend in the Premier League and European football. He is easily a top-three player in the Premier League in the past five years. Ballon d'Or nominations are like the Oscars for the past five years. Only players actively campaigning to win or get nominated make the top 30. I feel most legit fans give him the credit he deserves.

I’m so glad you made this video, it’s about time people start putting more respect on his name

While growing up, Mo Salah has been my idol and I try to mold my playing style after him. It's so great to finally see someone talk about how great he actually is

I think the reason might be because he’s had a few unfortunate dry spells (21/22 after African cup of nation, same with after 23/24 afcon).

I remember him having 20 goals by December 2021, coming off the goal against man city, people thought he would break his goal record and win the quadruple (neither happened).

These instances where he start a house on fire, and then dies down a little bit might be the reason why. People expect a 10, but when it ends at an 8, people think it’s a 6.

The fact Van Dijk isn’t in the list is crazy to me, he captained a team half full of kids during an injury crisis to a trophy and a title race, he’s honestly incredible and we wouldn’t have survived 23/24 without him

I think it really depends on where you live and what pundits you watch, here in the Netherlands in my experience the pundits are always warning about how dangerous he is and how world class he is whenever a liverpool match in europe is aired. Though nowadays they seem more interested in salivating over gakpo and gravenberch (for good reason, love watching those players).
