That is very tricky! My number one finger keeps lifting up when I start to play the second note!

The pedal notation does not include the rest in any measure, but whereas the first two phrases are between pedals, the third phrase includes a rest and a pedal stop. I don't understand the distinction between the longer and shorter phrases if the pedal is meant to stop even during the longer phrase.

In your demo, you play the longer phrase once as written and once with the pedal including the rest. I assume that means including the pedal is what you think sounds better and so did automatically . Is that your general recommendation? It does sound better that way to me.

I have a question, unrelated to this piece. I've just noticed, that the books completely skip B minor. The reason I'm asking is, usually the pieces in the book follow major key, and then pieces of the relative minor. In this case B minor should follow D. But it is completely absent. This is the last piece in D in the book and then it goes on to the Chromatic scale. And there is also no B minor in book 3. Is there musically, or otherwise a reason why this is the case, in your opinion?
