This video just came up in my recommended 3 months after buying the 27" version. I'm just a hobby photographer, no professional, and i can confirm this monitor is fantastic. Lifting it out of the huge box it felt quality, the weight. And the colours are amazing, beautiful. The first image i opened from my lightroom catalogue blew me away, pin sharp. The one thing i found hard getting used to was the monitor software Display Pilot. Lots of options to customise settings to your preference but i found the factory presets perfect. Matched with a 10bit card you can't go wrong.

What a relief to see that you recommend the BenQ PD2700u monitor--I ordered it last week. I guess I made a good choice. Thanks for confirming it.🙂

This is great, thanks for the in-depth review! Having an even lower budget options would be fantastic. Especially one that I can shift into a different purpose down the line if I upgraded to one of the really good ones for coloring. For instance, a low budget one now that I can move into the GUI or scopes in the future. Just thinking about the size and specs that would fit that situation ideally. Anyway, thanks again!

Looking to buy a new video editing monitor and was looking at this but I also need some gaming capacity. Will this be OK as I will hardly use for gaming? If not what do you suggest

Hi, I'm a your signed up, but I think you should say it's an 8 bit plus fdr, not a real 10 bit 1 billion colors: better than me you know the difference. Even because, if we are speaking of creativity, at more or less the same price there's the BENQ SW270C, that, yes, it's only 1440p, but really is a 1 billion colors with 1024 tones for every primary, instead of 256.
However, thanks for this video, because that is certainly a good monitor if you chose it.

This one has 70% adobe rgb while the others have 95-100% adobe rgb. So for content creators yes, but if you wanna print, It's highly suggested to have a higher adobe rgb.

I’ve had 2 of these now, sent back the 1st one and both have been making a clicking noise. Have any ideas as to what is causing it? Definitely don’t wanna send back the 2nd one....

Thanks a lot for such a detailed review I think PD2700u is the one I will go with....but since u mentioned in the last, can u make a video for a monitor which is something good like PD2700u for editors but can give u a decent experience while playing games like FIFIA or COD occasionally like once in a month when friends come over. Does such a monitor exist??

This isn't true 10 bit monitor...its a 8bit monitor FRC ( flicker rate control- some pixels flickering faster then the rest of them to give user kind of of 10bit colors on 8bit display - technology introduced by BenQ around 2015 ) . Proximity sensor is cool feature for ordinary user, but not for creator who needs accurate color as even those monitors need to warm up to display colors right way, but I am sure you can switch this function off. I have both 27'' SW2700PT and PD2700U where the difference is that SW line is hardware calibrated display so Delta E values are lower with Delta E under 2
