Can you turn off the nannies and slide it a little? I have a supposed RWD performance car that you can't turn them off. The instant it senses the slightest slip angle it cuts the engine to keep it in line. Mine might as well be FWD. Drives great but not as fun as it could be which is why i ask about shutting off traction control. ??

It looks way better than the Gti-R and most cars in its class🎉

I love mine. Everything you said about throttling out of a corner. It just claws its way through corners when you put in throttle. Its just glorious, and my two kids love it.

This is the car I would buy if I won a 50 million lottery. I want a sports car, but no point in having something you are afraid to scratch or drive outside of perfect condition. This would be fun and great in the winter too!

I know a dealer in Atlanta charging 5K over. Not awful but not MSRP. Unfortunately that’s still the market and the car goes for 5K over depending on the trim used

I'm so tired of engine covers.... I wish they put more effort into running wires and tucking them.

Dealership near me in a Houston TX said he sold the last one not even a circuit, just the base GR for 80k. And if I want to order one, I told him $&@$ U. I’m not stupid or desperate. Dealers like you need to go out of business. I’ll get mine somewhere else. I’ll never support dealers who past present our future top of customer.

I knew what the GR Corolla was going to be before I bought mine. And it is nearly perfect! I only wish that it was mid-engine (long time AW11 owner). :)

I agree with everything you've stated about the GR Corolla, especially that quite a few people buy it because it's the 'new, cool' car - then they end up selling it because it's too harsh, or whatever other complaint they come up with.

My only nitpick on the car is the intake. I do wish that some air channeling was put in place for the flappy door so as to limit the amount of air getting to it from behind the radiator.

Like the Corolla rxi, it's not everyone car but it's still a legend, imagine if everyone could afford one, I understand that it's over priced but it's the GR Corolla, let's hope for more units in the next instalments, prices should drop, at least Toyota can more or less match the Golf Gti-R, so I'm impressed that Toyota is back❤🥳Lead the way ....Toyota

Let me say this is one of my new dream cars. A reliable performance hatch back from Toyota is so cool to me. 6 speed manual and a 3 cylinder turbo But that price yuck!

I just put a down payment on a Circuit addition. The dealer has a $3k package to include a bunch of stuff you don't need but I was forced to pay. No other markups; they gouge you for a cell phone cable kit and Toyoguard Platinum package. I'm excited! It's in Jacksonville coming off the boat and needing an inspection. Should be home here in Ocala next week. Mine comes in 'Heavy Metal' with 'Cockpit Red' interior.

Luckily I was able to buy my circuit edition at my local dealership for MSRP 😊

We are just living in world where EVO/Focus RS/STI died, so this doesn't have much competition. In Canada an Elantra N is 20k cheaper than Core(with markup) and arguably more fun and a circuit is worth Supra money.
I wanted this car, I owned STI/Golf R/Veloster N all in manual so I've been living in this world for a long time, these suppose to be affordable fun daily performance car. At the end of the day to me this a Toyota version of STI, there is no way I'm paying this absurd money. I don't understand people who pays crazy markup for these kind of cars, why not buying BBA for the same price? Why Corolla/Civic/Z?

Yikes, now I worrying whether I am the right type of person to have purchased this car. I think I am okay since this is my only car (unless I borrow She Who Must Be Obeyed SUV). At the moment my Circuit Edition looks decidedly less than Ice Cap white since it gets used every day (though not really exercised as Akio intended on my work commutes). To be truthful, I was trying to get a fully loaded Core, the Circuit being a little too showy for me (vent nostrils, huge spoiler, etc.) but I have got use to the look and I am telling myself that the car is another one of my many ongoing mid (and later) life crises. Getting to the car itself, I totally agree with everything Brian said including his main concerns about seat height and pedal spacing (not that I am a good heel toe down shifter myself). The GR Corolla forums are awesome and you can source after market adjustable pedal kits if you want to remedy the pedal spacing. Another negative is that the trunk space is not good compared to other hatches especially the Civic. The car is AWESOME to drive, just so confidence experience inspiring. One of the surprises for is how many different sounds the engine makes, very talkative compared the EA888 in my old GTI. I do hope that lots of owners use their GRCs as their daily, that is what hot hatches are about.
