I didn’t realize that the Eye Test universe had such rich lore.

air puffs, eyes watering, hold back tears so the lady at the target glasses store thinks I’m a big boy

The idea of turning this shared fictional image that every myope has vaguely ingrained in their memory into an actual world is extremely clever. Wouldn't expect anything less from you. The clouds are particularly beautifully done.

Waited for the blast of air in my eyes.
Got a punch in the heart instead.

Imagine being the farmer at that barn and every 5 minutes or so you see a pair of giant eyes appear on the horizon, and then disappear.

The eyes are never the same, and you do not know what they stand for.

Grant us eyes

Gorgeous. It might be the only time a federal prisoner might get to look at a horizon with no walls or fences keeping him separated.

I actually burst into tears at the end and felt instant pity and sadness for him. He gave up his life and freedom for crime, and there was no changing that, so that view was his brief escape. Beautifully told, and heartbreaking.

They say with 20/20 vision you can see the house. Beyond 20/20, you can see the child waving at you from the window. Some can even see the shadow figure standing behind the child. Those patients exhibit unpredictable reactions that are often problematic for the examiner.

Thus, the AOA has agreed to perpetuate the myth of ‘optimal’ 20/20 vision to the public.

THEY DID THE AIR BALLOON TOO! This is the greatest crossover I've seen. I'm from a different area than my coworkers and they've only seen the barn.

Keep it up umami! Never stop making your flavor of art, if not for us then yourself and loved ones. Also take breaks when you need to. And last but not least drink some water please.

Every person with a spectacle has some sort of connection to this place. It feels like home.

I had an optometrist visit this very morning, the day you posted this, and got the hot air balloon image test. I'm honestly glad I saw this later because I'm not sure I'd have been able to keep the emotions in if this was on my mind the whole time.

I never thought I could be so triggered by a picture of a barn

Everyone complains about the air blast going into your eyes but for me, having the eyes of a mole with astigmatism, shining a bright light into my eye sends me reeling in tears and pain. It strains my eyes to be out in a sunny day, shining a flashlight into my eye might as well be a flashbang.

At first I was like "That's a bit of a sinister glare for someone whose wife and daughter are waiving at them". And then I saw the handcuffs.

Not even 1:30 long and delivered a stronger gut punch than so many movies' attempts. Thank you
