Questions on states of matter chapter from ncert and from previous competitive exams like JEE( Mains, Advanced) , NEET etc. In this video, we will cover:
1.A 20 litre container at 400 K contains CO2 (g) at pressure 0.4 atm and an excess of SrO(neglect the volume of solid SrO). The volume of the container in now decreased by moving the movable piston fitted in the container. The maximum volume of the container, when pressure of CO2 attains its maximum value, will be (Given that: SrCO3(s)⇌SrO(s)+CO2(g), Kp=1.6 atm)
2.Dalton's law of partial pressure is applicable to which one of the following systems?
3.For an ideal gas compressibility factor is
4.Two closed bulbs of equal volume (V) containing an ideal gas initially at pressure pi and temperature T1 are connected through a narrow tube of negligible volume as shown in the figure below. The temperature of one of the bulbs is then raised to T2.The final pressure pf is :
5.Equal moles of hydrogen and oxygen gases are placed in a container with a pin-hole through which both can escape. What fraction of the oxygen escapes in the time required for one-half of the hydrogen to escape?
6.Which of the following statement(s) is (are) correct regarding the root mean square speed (Urms) and average translational kinetic energy (ϵav) of a molecule in a gas at equilibrium?
7.If Z is a compressibility factor, van der Waals equation at low pressure can be written as:
8.A gaseous mixture was prepared by taking equal moles of CO and N2. If the total pressure of the mixture was found to be 1 atomosphere, the partical pressure of the nitrogen (N2) in the mixture is
9.A student forgot to add the reaction mixture to the round bottomed open flask at 27∘C and put it on the flame After a lapse of time he realized his mistake using a pyrometer he found the temperature of the flask was 477∘C What fraction of air would have been expelled out ?
10.2.9 g of a gas at 95 °C occupied the same volume as 0.184 g of dihydrogen at 17 °C, at the same pressure. What is the molar mass of the gas?
11. NEET Questions from States of matter class 11
12. Competitive exam questions from class 11 States of matter
13. IIT, JEE, CBSE PMT, questions from States of matter class 11

As I was watching the video, I kinda figured out another way as well to solve the 1st question (NEET 2017). Can't P1V1=P2V2 be used instead of PV=nRT formula ? Because that is easier and can be done the same.
For the second question - CO + H2O does give out CO2 at high temperature (according to google.) or it forms water gas (also according to google.). Pls do help me here.
