Create a Spectacular Tree | Holiday Tree Décor | Michaels

Turn your tree into a tree-mendous centerpiece! Watch and learn how to refresh your standard tree and ornaments by layering on beautiful elements like ribbon, mesh, floral picks, berries and garland. Start with a basic pre-lit tree, a tree skirt and a topper.

It’s time for ornaments! Select your favorites and distribute them around the tree. Here, we've used three boxes of glass ornaments and three boxes of decorated ornaments, for a total of 3 dozen ornaments.

Wrap the tree in one roll of wired edge ribbon (ours is 4” x 25”) and one roll of mesh ribbon (here, we've used one that's 5.5” x 10 yds).

Next, tuck in 12 large picks throughout, followed by 12 small picks, and 8 berry picks.

Liven things up with 11 poinsettia stems and 5 sparkly branch stems.

3 pinecone garland strands will add a natural touch.

Once all your elements are layered, fluff and arrange as necessary. Have fun trimming your spectacular tree!
