Doug Ford says he wants to build a tunnel under Highway 401

Just take the toll charges off the 407. It would be cheaper a less disruptive.

Every time someone talks about building a tunnel. I think about a truck only bypass tunnel on Interstate 5 Hwy 14 Interchange in LA county California. A gas tanker truck collided with another truck inside the tunnel. They had an uncontrollable fiery inferno that couldn't be fought. They had to let it burn itself out which took days.

So much for thinking about taxpayers, how is it that we have millions for a brand new highway but transit, healthcare, education are getting cuts???. Also why are taxpayers outside the GTA paying for this ????

Nice Idea, but can you talk to the surrounding municipalities and corporations if they are willing to relocate their businesses outside Toronto.
