Personally; i believe this opens the market to massive abuse by the scammers.

I believe...if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it! But if others want it and will use it...who am I to tell them no. You do you! Take care be safe and God bless!

On a scale from 1 to 10 I give this idea a .9! As a longtime elite member, they may have just pushed me over to PCGS. 🤔 definitely promoting confusion, wtg ngc!

I think this is the dumbest thing... as my grandma used to say don't fix what ain't broken...

Spectacular it is getting hard for people to count so high so they have to limit it to 10 that way they could use their fingers

Why? I think it's so that they can easily market coins to non-coin collectors who don't want to learn the current system. i.e.: The people who ask, "Why does this grading system only go up to 70?" I bet the folks selling overpriced slabbed coins on the TV will LOVE it!

Nope not going to do it, don't even want coins with the "new" grading system. I might just fill up my remaining NGC boxes and go with PCGS.

With CAC entering into the graded/slabbed coin business. Now NGC changing its grading system. Does this help us or hurt the hobby? Time will tell.

I just ordered a NGCX 10 Silver Eagle compared to the MS70 it cost more definitely something interesting in my opinion

since most modern coins grade MS or some AU, most coins will probably never go lower than an 8.5. it is all right for comics and cards because they include old or modern issues, so the 10-point scale makes sense but for coins not so smart. I can see this new grading system going the way of the Edsel.

I do like the new intro, especially when it looks like you caught the coin

Consolidating 70 grades into ten is great for what they’re trying to achieve. But it will hurt coin dealers. Sometimes one grade up on the Sheldon scale is hundreds of dollars. I don’t understand how that will work for 10 point scale. As a former sports card collector i loved the ten point scale, but after learning coins idk if that could work.

I'm not a fan of this at all. I can already see the high pressure late night coin sellers spinning this 10 point grading system ripping off even more people. It's just muddying up the waters even more. Nothing is wrong with the Sheldon scale. The real problem is human graders. No two people are going to see the same coin the same way. Grading is subjective and always has been. It's the same for the consumer. I happen to really appreciate toned coins, but not every toned coin appeals to me. By the same token not every coin with the same grade look the same. I just don't think having a new grading system is going to improve, or perfect grading. 🤔

1982 to present.
Ok not so much of an issue I lean more vintage.

Do we really need this? how about lower grading fees instead

This is going to be interesting, depending on how collectors view this new system and if they potentially prefer the old system.

NGC is trying to reinvent the wheel. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

10 to 1 this is a fishing expedition for NGC to see if there's any traction of be a little different from the rest. 1 to 10 It probably will never happen because the established moniker will irritate too many people and NGC doesn't want to become PCGS and pissing off their customers. Nuff said

Missed this vid when it came out somehow (especially sine I watched the one before and after.)

This is definitely a gimmick to suck in non-coin collectors and to make bank.

Guaranteed a 10 will end up selling more than an MS70 because the fools will see "10"
