The lead for the 2020 rematch is propelled in part by broad voter dissatisfaction with the national economy and doubts about Biden’s capabilities and job performance.

Wall Street Journal editor Aaron Zitner explains what the latest numbers tell us about America’s approaching 2024 presidential election.

"The economy is doing great" you can't gaslight me into believing it's easier to pay for things now than it was five years ago

For lower to middle income families, the increase of 25% in food prices, increase in rent of 20% over the past 4 years is substantial.

How many people have an abortion in their entire life? 1%? Inflation affects everybody.

Saying the economy is in great shape is delusional and tone deaf. The economy is most certainly not in great shape, the cumulative effect of inflation has destroyed most of the middle class so yes, Wall Street looks beautiful while Main Street is awful.

"Middle class" Americans are suddenly struggling to afford that lifestyle creep that occurred pre-pandemic. That $3K mortgage and $800 car payment are a burden.

COVID-19 wasn't Trump's fault, and even then, everything was still cheaper. Quit gaslighting voters. Everything's more expensive, and even as I type this in April of 2024, gas pricing and inflation are hiking up... again! We hit over 9% inflation in the summer of 2021... let us see if we're on track to match it, or surpass it this summer!

As a North Carolinian, if Biden can get all the New Yorkers and Californians that are flocking here to go back to New York and California, he’d have my vote.

this is shaping up to be a disaster in every possible way. Who will win is unknown, but who will lose is crystal clear - all of us.

I don’t like trump but there is no way he is losing. Biden has very few supporters, all he has is party loyalty at this point.

The economy is not doing great. Things are more expensive and your wages have not gone up.

More good news for Trump is that he most clearly overperformed vs his polling in Wisconsin in both 2016 and 2020. Pollsters unestimated him by 6 points both times vs the actual vote.

Polls are NEVER wrong or skewed to sell headlines.

The economy is terrible. Especially with the fact that the United States just got involved with a third war in the last 4 years. Also i know this first hand as a stock trader/holder the economy is terrible.
