May I just say how pleasant it is to hear someone give a level-headed, practical explanation of why a toyline is not doing so well, instead of shouting "Disney killed Star Wars, toys are rotting on the shelf!" in the vocal equivalent of all caps. Kudos!

What about clone wars fans who grew up with 3.75 inch clone wars figures that’s why I love 3.75

You did the 3.75 inch Star Wars toy line a major service with this video and more people should be following In your footsteps! Thank you!!!

Nice video Bobby. At this point I would like to see more movie style clone wars figures and rebels figures. Hasbro needs to try harder

Agree with everything besides you're statement about an entire prequel wave not selling. I disagree with that. Im a prequel child. My first star wars movie in theaters was Revenge of the Sith. And i would buy almost all prequel characters. That and clone wars would sell out immediately.

I totally agree. I am a vintage 78-85 guy and occasionally by new figures from the vintage collection. BUT for me it’s the Vintage Collection ships I get and they are fantastic although sometimes a bit pricey. I got the landspeeder, snowspeeder, Luke’s x-wing, the Jabba’s Skiff, Jabba’s Palace and the BMF from Galaxy’s Edge. All fantastic. And they display VERY well with the 78-85 line. I also picked up the 2018/19 light grey tie fighter and the wings pop off WAAAAY to easy. But looks nice. That being said finding the original trilogy stormtrooper is a nightmare as soon as they get released, they are scalped for twice the price. Hard to collect if you want them at a fair price the first year they come out.

I have never saw the rise of skywalker vintage collection wave at my local Walmart and target stores as hasbro made god awful 5 inch galaxy of adventures as they got to end that 5 inch line.

I totally agree on the hip articulation thing. It works decently on characters with long, thin legs like Yakface and Zorii Bliss, but with Troopers with thigh armor the amount of twisting and turning and trial and error that goes into articulating the legs into even a slightly more dynamic pose is a pain. And on characters with plastic skirt pieces like Crait Luke and Rey it’s completely pointless that they even wasted the money on tooling it when it’s impossible to use. It’s so cumbersome that I honestly just prefer T-hips to them. While you can’t get a figure to crouch with T-hips, you can at least get them to sit in a vehicle in a way that looks natural. I don’t remember this being an issue with GI Joe and 3.75” Marvel lines so I have no idea why Hasbro is had decided this is the best way to articulate hips.

Wow!! I don’t know if you scripted this but you hit the nail on the head on so many topics in regard to the #TVC that I hope Hasbro is watching so they can learn something. I’m now 54 and a huge collector ever since I saw A Brave New Hope in the theaters as a kid and still have my original Star Wars toys. My passion is the 3.75 line but I’m not going to lie, I also collect the 6” Black Series. I’m so tired of repacks and failed playsets (dioramas). The 3.75 should be their leader as it’s more affordable for kids compared to the $19.99-$24.99 range black series with no accompanying playsets in the 6” scale, would cost an arm and a leg and way too big. I certainly subscribed when I heard your video here so please keep them coming. Thanks

The problem with Hasbro is they obviously don’t have someone working there with the intelligence and skillset like the author of this video. This is perhaps one of the best critical thinking videos on a subject I’ve seen in a long time. Compare this to the dopes we just saw on Fan First Monday and there you go. Without the right people in the right positions with the right level of intelligence, authority and ability to get things done, nothing is going to change. Too bad the company isn’t run by half the competence we see from certain members of our community. Our only hope is someday someone with this level of intellect will get hired by Hasbro and we’ll finally see smart decisions being made. 👍😬

At least you GET OT figures. The PT just gets ignored all together.

I love the hero’s from rogue one! Thought that was by far the best Disney Star Wars fan

The carbonate chamber was a good idea but half baked. I thought the same thing on Jabbas Palace. It’s a good idea but not enough for me. When it comes to the main lines of Hasbro they seem to have issues either listening or caring about what fans want. Not all is bad though

I got all of the figures from the first wave of TVC except for the Hoth Rebel trooper for anywhere from $2.50-$5.00!

You made a lot of good points and I pretty much agree with everything you said except I don’t think their should be a focus on the original trilogy and more or so a good variety of all Star was media in the vintage collection. I understand that the OT is where Star Wars began but that horse has been beaten to death at this point when it comes to the figures. Also hasbro NEEDS to make more vehicles as well as new figures

Great video and thank you for making it. I don't understand how Hasbro (the company that created G.I.Joe) continues to have a problem working a proper ball and socket hip joint into the Star Wars figures, especially when doing so would also give them the ability to do a ball joint connection between the waist and torso. Companies like JoyToy, Toy Alliance, Zica Toys and Jazwares has done 1:18th scale figures with ball and socket hips. It also drives me crazy when Hasbro releases a figure like the Solo movie Lando figure with improved hinge/swivel hip joints but doesn't seem to include that improvement on any of the other figures in The Vintage Collection. Anyway, hopefully Hasbro will continue TVC (my preferred scale as they still fit in my older vehicles) and eventually remember how they did ball and socket hips in their G.I.Joe line.

They need to get rid of ball joint hips on the 3.75 figures (except for the Stormtroopers), going back to swivel hip joints would be easier to handle, plus they could actually sit in vehicles! Or, just go to the 25th Anniversary GI Joe style for the 3.75 line.

Releases of good figures that are rare like, rebel commandos, rebel fleet troopers, and 212th clone troopers are good rereleases and hell the renewed clone trooper phase 1 sold really good and I never saw him again and thankfully it was a good rerelease.
