On The Urban Debate Weekend Special today, Tanvi Shukla talks about the massive mismatch of Covid fatalities in the state of Gujarat. As per the Divya Bhaskar, the daily newspaper of Gujarat, the civic body has distributed around one lakh death certificated among the citizens between March and May of this year. In comparison to the last year in the same duration 58,000 death certificates were issued to the citizens across the state. It depicts a huge gap, which tells that these are not normal deaths, they are the covid fatalities. The official statistics by the government are not even near around this figure. Why only Gujarat every state is hiding, look at Uttar Pradesh, dead bodies are floating in rivers, do you think these bodies were issued death certificates, can you say they did not die of covid, do you think someone died of a disease in any family other than covid, would they not do proper cremation, so they are covid bodies in Uttar Pradesh that died without even basic treatment
