Build a Responsive Dashboard with Firebase data in Flutterflow

In this Video, I take one of our Dashboard Template screens and connect data via Firebase to it. We then showcase how easy it is to utilize these templates to create working apps in 1 hour.

We will setup authentication, add a "Create profile" page, and then navigate to the home page where our dashboard exists. We will then utilize a template for the create modal, where we will create an activity document in Firestore. We will then feed that data into a few places on our dashboard screen. Setting up an activity feed and list of of upcoming tasks.

P.S. Please disconnect the firebase and hook up your own firebase.

I wish more of the teachers kept the Newbie Beginners mindset in mind by at least slowing down, and to explain the functions and *WHY* rather than just Assume we understand what all the buttons, terminology, and functions are. There was many “Okay just click here, do this, do that do this….” And I’m like wait whaaaat, and Why?… It makes it hard to remember without reasoning or logic behind it. One must have great memorization and a level of coding language and all. It’s hard to keep up sometimes. It’s not just this video but many other No code tutorials

I really wanted to see the firebase stuff... Any chance you can do a small video that shows how to setup firebase, get data from an API like ampify or something and then getting it into flutterflow? :3 I am a little confused on this haha.

@Andrew @flutterflow .. here are some thoughts.. 1. can you list different type of files mostly word docs or pdf, then view them inside the app . To go further may be edit word files . Upload, View, download and print. Then lastly it will have version history

2. An approval process for a form and same for a calendar . Let’s say a leave management app . To go further we can sync that calendar with Google/iCal/outlook calendar

How to update a created task? Like if I had created task name "ABC" and now I want to change task name to "XYZ".

Please there's no discord community and I can't get into the Flutterflow community. I need help in debugging an error. I keep getting the late Initalization error on test mode. I have a bunch of ui and no custom code or backend calls. I can't figure out the issue.

Would love a tutorial on calculating data for the dashboard. Right now if seems like it can only aggregate total amount of entires. (query collection - count)

ex: on financial dashboard, getting the sum of all sales to show revenue on dashboard.

Is it only a custom function that can do this to date?

Where is the light mode in the actual FF designer itself... should be easy to find but FF UX has made this difficult to see.

Honestly, you should try to explain in more detail what and why you do stuff. Stop assuming we're all pros
