What we're dealing with here is a very limited chunk of protected memory residing in the blockchain string itself. This area is suppose to store confirmations, transfer info and other crypto data but can in theory hold a relatively large text file (ledger) - and thus webpage code. The problem is then using this limited area as the building blocks for your entire website with 100MB + size images, videos, modules, plug-ins, apps, store widgets, etc. And since we can't store all that on there we need to compress, segment and redirect users to other servers, web hosts and service providers. In the end though you compromise on security and end up storing your valuable data on the open web without any of the benefits of being on a secure, decentralized network.

So, to buy a web3 domain is basically paying for something that you can have for free (a wallet address) just cause it has a name? Doesn't work for me. You can also type a name the wrong way, and everybody should be capable of using copy paste...
On the other hand, I'm sure it's not too hard to assign a name to a wallet, I don't know how to do it yet, but I'll find out. Probably a .JSON file assigned somehow to an address? If anybody knows please share!

Hey guys, when I bought a .nft domain on unstoppable domain, I used it to create a simple 'coming soon' website but it's not opening on chrome. It's also displaying a different address instead of the .nft domain (ipfs something), and it returns a 504 gateway timeout. What should I do? I ultimately want to create NFT art, and host it on this website through its OpenSea link. Can anyone help please?
