New to film photography? What do you look out for when using film?

We head down to Darkslide Film Lab in Bridgeport, Connecticut and talk to Emily Swift, owner and founder. Emily started the lab after several years of doing professional film photography. She tells us of the 5 most common things she sees new film photographer do wrong that comes into the lab. Switching from digital to film photography can be a challenge and she points out the things you need to watch out for to make the best of shooting film.

The most important price of info to take away is that you should aim for neutral or over exposed shots on film. A lot of us are used to digital and it's ability to preserve shadow detail.
