Although I don't do web development, it was interesting to see how the landscape changed over the years. Thanks for the great overview.

This is an amazing video for beginners in the Javascript ecosystem.

You use node.js for front/backend development. Alot of your videos are teaching python. So where do we use python? ie should we just flask/danjgo somewhere?

What do you think of the ramda library?

I use a very similar stack, but with python / flask as the backend.

Material ui and atlas are great for getting started.

Hey Arjan, I'm just starting to get into web dev. Do you have or know any good resources on how to set up a good coding environment? For example if one wants to use vscode to write typescript, and have a live server running to show changes as we make them. Plus support for debug breakpoints or something similar. There's just so much out there it's very intimidating to know how to actually get started.

Arjan this is gold mining shame on me after 2 years I discover your content. Do you have any update since its 2023 if still using all this it would be extremally valuable if the content take more time at list 1/2 hour since it deserve to elaborate its crucial agenda. I Love you Arjan you make my career promising. Blessed one Arjan❤

I've used angular for almost 11 years now since first release of JS. It wasn't until this year that I started jumping into React as well as Next.js One thing I have learned, especially with angular-cli being the standard way to scaffold angular projects, is that I really do think angular is "easier" or at least smarter as far as how to build webpapps for someone starting out. You have html / scss or css and ts files by default, and if you need help on http interceptors, or a service, or animation... you have 1 library that you need to get support on.. angular. the second you goto React its the wild west just like jQuery was. need animation? que 3rd party libraries and 3rd party support. Oh your library stops working? 3rd party support. So i guess in a way react has a benefit of being like a screw driver in a toolbox, where angular is the toolbox. something to consider when starting out and learing typescript / html / css / spa / etc.

@ArjanCodes hey! Thanks for what I now consider to be the best 13 minutes of my youtube time invested for this year. I think it'd be fantastic if you did one of these every year! <nudge, nudge> Cheers mate, Dave.
