Baldwin is irrefutably responsible and should be charged

Treat every gun as if itis loaded and ready to shoot.

Never point a gun at anything you don't want to destroy.

There is no exception for it having been declared a 'cold gun' by a professional.

Baldwin hired the gun safety officer. Also they were shooting the gun with live ammunition the days before where live rounds were introduced on the site. He is the producer who is responsible to a degree.

Every Gun is a loaded gun unless you checked it personally, properly, and have not set it down since

It’s the person who has the hand on the gun and the finger on the trigger simple as that

I dont like baldwin at all ppl.
But if u think this is a super easy case of just throwing him in jail, etc etc...

Idk, he did hire a prop safety officer to do his job, which he trusted, and looking back on it, i bet he wishes he wouldn't have trusted and maybe checked the gun himself.
It wasnt supposed to have live rounds in it. Its a movie?

Maybe they should have learned from Barandon Lee and the Crowe Accident??.

It's a horrible situation all the way around, even more so to the lady who lost her life. RIP

Sad world we live in.😢

Okay a lot of people keep saying 'check weapon personally' thing is in many cases actors are not legally allowed to check the weapon. Their contracts specifically state they MAY NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES MANIPILATE THE LIVE PROP OUTSIDE OF USE ON SET. Baldwin may be libel as producer for not making sure the armsmaster of the prop department was there as required, but as an actor, 90% of actors no nothing of firearms and it would be completely unsafe for them to attempt to 'safe' a firearm.

He is not just an actor. He was the producer that wanted to save money and cut corners. If you are not a left wing gun regulation activist, you would understand that a revolver can fire if you pull the hammer back partially, to the point it doesn't catch, and then let the hammer snap back on a chamber with a shell in it. The trigger never has to be touched. It is highly recommended that a person be trained about any dangerous equipment before handling it and playing with it. Know all the ways, the how and when, it can injure you or someone else. It's no wonder Alec thinks guns should be outlawed. They are only dangerous when not handled properly. His fault totally! It was in his hand and he was doing something that should never be done AND he apparently had zero training ever on how a revolver works.

This is a simple answer. Assume you were an actor who is to push a co star off a bridge attached to a bungie system and the system fails. Would you be at fault for pushing them to their death or would the guy who set up the system with a broken line be at fault?
