How to Become an Influencer on LinkedIn
Did you know that more than 4.5 million monthly active users and around 40% of people in Australia are on LinkedIn everyday? And when they're on, they're on for an average of about 17 minutes at a time. Now that's a really high percentage of use and you've also got mostly corporate people so this is very popular for the business to business market.
These are some of the things you really need to think about.
If you're a business owner, the days of cold calling and doing sales pitches and qualifying leads are gone. Today, it's all about being able to find those customers and LinkedIn is definitely a really valuable place to do that.
If you're a solopreneur and perhaps an influencer, and even if you're in a business you get to become an influencer because now it's about writing content and by 2020, it's expected that the content marketing industry will be a 300 billion dollar industry. So LinkedIn is the way to be able to do that because the algorithm is all based on who you know and who you're connected to.
LinkedIn is considered what I would call a closed network type of platform compared to some of the others so it's very tight-knit but you need to be able to contribute and add value and educate your audience by writing content, not just spamming them. So if you're a solopreneur and trying to work out how you're gonna grow your business, LinkedIn is definitely one of the platforms for you and equally if you're in your career and trying to work out how to progress your career, one of the fastest ways that you can get in front of the right people whether it's the right CEO, HR manager, whoever it might be, what other platform or other way could you get through and get access to the decision-maker who could appoint you in that dream role?
So keep tuned, stay tuned, I'm gonna be taking some more videos and photos today and I'd love to hear your comments and your thoughts, just pop them below.
