I am so thankful for this video. I vent my electric dryer thru the wall and had a makeshift plastic screen contraption on the outside into my patio area. It would knock down the lint, but had to sweep lint up after every dryer use. Based on your video, I made a replica of your design, painted it to match the trim and it looks great. Now the water grabs the lint and since it's already outside, I don't worry about humidity, dust particles, and having to sweep anymore. I guess I'll toss the water once a week....but love the idea. Thank you!! p.s. the air exhaust thru the top holes flows out nicely if anyone has a concern.

I used to do something similar with an old pantyhose leg and the dryer was in the cellar. I have a gas dryer now so I just vent outside and keep it lint free.

ih ave one with two lids one with drilled holes around edge of lid and ine 90 degree 1" pvc pipe for directional air flow

bur for the holes use a mesh screen so the other 'particles' don't cover everything else in the house.

So is the water just to collect the lint? After all, most of the moisture comes from the clothes.

Running my dryer makes my electric bill go higher and if you're using the dryer to heat your home or a room that's going to make your electric bill go up I dry them first out outside then throw them in the dryer to fluff them up
