I followed along with this series as I made my second ever journal. The first was a no-sew, and really was just for learning the basics. The attempt I've made with this series is a whole different universe. Your videos are wonderfully thorough, your insights so very helpful. I wish I had a more organic style like you do. How awesome to have a sister with similar interests! Your idea of using the same paper to reinforce the corners is genius. I've been making journals and watching journal videos for about 7 years and to the best of my memory, no one else has done this. I can't tell you how many times I have had to resort to book corners to clean up my mistakes.

Thanks for sharing and I wanted to add a tip of my own - to get the crinkle we all love in our journals I spray my papers with my coffee or tea solution and then microwave them! Microwaves are different I know but I can dry 5 thin sheets in approximately 77 seconds. If I’m drying card stock I usually dry them for about 88-100 seconds. Just a quick way I’ve found works w/out using my regular oven.
