Whenever I hear this song, especially the part "We were so young when we fell in love, not knowing what it was", it always took me back to when I first met my husband. It was in my 4th grade, my school held an event to celebrate Teacher's Day. My class had a dance performance, all of us had to wear a traditional costume (I don't know what it's called in English, but if you want to know what it looks like, you can google the term "áo yếm múa". Basically it was a two pieced costume with a halter top and a long skirt). I was a tall and chubby girl back then, so my school didn't have a costume that fitted me well. I had to make do with one that was a bit too short. A few centimeters of my tummy fat was showing, and I was made fun of by the boys in the class. Even my crush (which was not my husband) was laughing along, so I was extremely upset and ran to the back of the school building to cry instead of staying with my class in front of the stage to watch other classes performed. My husband found me after his class was done, sat down next to me and told me that he thought I looked so pretty.
Things just came naturally after that. We got married 20 years later. It was a Vietnames style wedding, so we didn't have a first dance. But maybe if I convince him enough he may agree to do this in our little kitchen some night :D
