I'd bet Turkish forces weren't even aware they were getting too close to friendlies with their drone. Sounds mostly like an innocent mishap. Glad the troops shot the drone, as opposed to the other way around. Steel, not flesh.

I'd like to see these videos also have "Daily Briefing" followed by the day's date in the video title

Despite not being a fan of US anymore, I think it's understandable, no matter how unfair it is to shoot the drone down. Friendly fire is a thing that's always precise, so you better be the one shooting than the one being shot.

Of course, had it been US drone near Turkish troops, or UK drone near US troops, it'd play out differently. Turkey knows where they stand, so they probably aren't gonna cry too much about it.

The mauritis thing seems odd. Why would any of their laws from before independence have any Bering on the country if it has a new constitution and isn’t the same state?

@TLDR Daily
This is the second time it has shot down the aircraft of a NATO ally. The US shot down the British Helicopter in the early days of the "Operation Freedom" in the middle east.

Democracy does much to prevent conflict. In this case a sovereignty referendum would provide a legitimate path forward for the topic of sovereignty in Turkiye's Kurdish populated regions. Canada used to have less intense, but similar problems. Cultural tensions between Quebec and the rest of Canada escalated to terrorism in the form of the FLQ. Democracy provided a peaceful path forward. Turkiye should try this method.

Marking the first time the US has (deliberately) brought down an aircraft of a NATO ally

Iskander ballistic missile strike on a funeral. 51 civilians killed. What is wrong with people.

I wonder why Turkey didn't repond to so many US calls telling them the strike drone is in danger-close range.

The US Secretary of Defense is NOT a military person. Lloyd Austin is a civilian and as such, he would never wear his former uniform in his role as Secretary of Defense. There are tons of public domain and paid images of him in civilian attire.

Turks already killed enough generals from PYD. One drone downed is not an issue lol
