I dunno why, but seeing Meta Knight and Marth doing their swordfight is awesome. Just dunno why.

As Marth investigates the growing bubble of Subspace, he hears the wind change and parries 4 blows back to back! His assailant is knocked back, and is revealed to be the master of the Halberd and the greatest warrior in the galaxy; Meta Knight! Meta Knight flies to continue their duel, and Marth meets him head on. A flurry of blows ignites between the two of them, only stopped by an ambush of Primids. Realizing they have mutual foes, the duo stand back to back, before jumping into action.

The reason the Halberd was stolen was because Dedede at first worked with the Subspace Army and helped them steal it.

However, during this, Dedede somehow found out about Tabuu and his Off Waves (the waves he uses to trophify everyone near the end) and immediately defected, planning on figuring out a way to save everyone (which he succeeded with his badges)

Meta Knight mistakes Marth as a threat but after jumping into concluding when they fought, they realized they had to make a truce knowing that the planet is in danger.
