The new YorkLiberty just won their first championship and it was made possible because the MVP like perfomances from Sabally, Jones and Stewart that didn't give up and they continued on even though Minnesota Lynx was defended them. They made history and gave New York liberty their first championship and they won it together as a team. Everything they did throughout the year everything was Worth it. Bur definitely if they want to win it back to back Nyra and Jones will definitely be a crucial part of that so will Kayla Thornton. But the two most impressive from this game was Nyra Sabally who didn't get many minutes this series and the minutes she was given she really came through in Game 5 of this series. And the desire coming from Jones the MVP of game truly deserves everything that was went her way this year and the MVPtrophy.

I am done watching this wnba, after this finals game 5. We are not blind the ref was a mission today to give the liberty to their first wnba championship. Feel bad for napheesa and the lynx but i never ever to watch this league again.

The Liberty won this game years ago because they constructed a team of championship caliber players. Sabrina Ionescu, the #1 pick in the draft, a winning player who took Oregon women's basketball to the Final Four, unheard of for that program. Her UO teammate, Sabally, a bust based on her draft position but still a great role player. Breanna Stewart, probably the most accomplished HS and NCAA player ever who has done nothing but win be it at UConn with the Seattle Storm or now in NY. Stewie is making a case for the greatest player of all-time at the moment. Then the free agent signings of Jonquel Jones, Leonie Fiebich, and an amazing veteran player like Vandersloot completed the championship roster. The Lynx played as well as they could play and were very fortunate that it even reached a Game 5 because a lot of people would argue that the Liberty would have swept the series if Stewie had hit her free throw in Game 1.

I actually love both the Liberty & the Lynx, so either win was ok for me. I was here just to watch good basketball. But the refs in the WNBA are not fair. Them choosing to make a call or not make a call is affecting the fairness of the game and is not protecting the players. It affects the psyche of the players and the audience watching this because you are more wrapped up in the injustice of it, not the quality of play. These players, both Liberty and the Lynx, are amazing. They and us as the audience deserved fair and consistent officiating, as well as the rest of the league. And worse, inconsistent officiating affects the outcome of the game and that should NOT be the case. It’s not just about this game, but ALL games. The playoffs made it clear we have a real problem. And it’s turning off the fans

The Liberty, ESPN, and WNBA won't be talking about this, and by almost any consideration the win was tainted by the officials, and they have been tainting the outcome of games all season.

I did love the quad travel move, the missed layups, rebounding their own missed shot, and shooting again it, did make me miss Reese, and the fact that I did not have to watch the roller derby was cool.

The # 1 Liberty, #3 Sun and # 4 Aces do have a far better record for going to the foul line than their opponents do, and not having as many fouls called against them, and that has won them a fair share of their wins.
