My workhorse FUJIFILM Camera just became stupidly cheap.

The Fujifilm X-H1 is my main Content Creation Tool since 2019. In this video I am sharing my Experience and why I decided to never upgrade the X-H1. As much as I like the X-H2s / X-H2, I don't need it for what I do. The Fujifilm X-H1 is still amazing and a real bargain in 2023.

“Are you better than your camera?” is actually a mindblowing thing. It really put my GAS personality in its place.

Just started watching but already know ill 100% agree, flagships from 5 or so years ago are insanely affordable and do everything that 90% of people need, while being cheaper than new entry level cameras with less features. Love my x-h1!

I can relate to this video, in relation to the camera I use which is the Canon M50. Pretty much underappreciated by most people, like the XH series Fuji cameras. I was able to overcome my GAS problems, and now I love shooting with this little guy. But can we talk about that intro? I gave it a standing ovation and wanted to throw carnations at the screen in appreciation, but I looked around and remembered my cat eats plants so there are none in the house. So I had to settle for the "one person ovation". Bravo!

it's really inspiring to see a very successful filmmaker from YouTube deciding to buy cameras like the X-S10 and not shelling out on an X-H2s, and genuinely making the most out of their older X-H1 and showing that "the latest and greatest" is in some ways just mumbo jumbo. i appreciate your approach to gear, a lot.

I got two X-H1's used for around $650 each, like new. Battery grips on MBP are around $16. Yeah that price is nuts for a legit pro camera. I tether it into C1 Pro on iPad which is held by a magic arm on my tripod. Such a quick setup to get in, get the shot, deliver something on the spot for client mockups. Such a smooth setup. I love it when gear heads dump perfectly good gear that's like brand new. Been shooting full time since 2005. This is the best camera I've used yet. More than enough for pro use and if there's a need for me, rent.

I become Headshot Crew Associate shooting X-H1, and now im still using it. Its still love this tool. New Fuji lacks features i love in X-H1 so i dont have reason to change.

I love my X-H1. It was my first mirrorless camera and I bought it with the 35mm F2. I later added the X-Pro3 which I also really love but is currently being repaired so at the moment the X-H1 is back in the first spot to getting picked for shoots. I especially love the X-H1 with the battery grip. It feels so comfortable to hold IMO even if it gets bulkier. I can also confirm what you said about weather sealing. I shot my X-H1 in HEAVY rain and HEAVY snow. It still lives (make sure hot flash and PC terminal are covered. That is crucial IMO).

One of your best videos so far blending valuable information with entertainment - The best combination for marketing and of course storytelling! Thank you for creating this video, I have enjoyed it!

I still shoot weddings with a XT2 and a XH1. Last summer I felt in a pool with my XH1 and 50-140mm, removed battery from battery pack and cards, let it dry for 1 week and all OK. Love that camera.

It has been amazing to watch you grow as a storyteller and incorporate new (and often super clever) techniques. Awesome vid.

Thanks for confirming the XH1 is a great camera, I have had mine since 2018 and bought it when Fuji dropped its price by nearly 50% with battery grip. Stopped me from buying XT3! Now have Tamron 18-300 on it instead of Fuji 16-55, without battery grip it is now very light which is making me use it again!

It‘s absolutely the best freaking intro, I have ever seen. Gave me NPH Vibes☺️ totally honest and full of insights. Love it.

This intro was gold. It should be the anthem of this channel. 🎉

I don't think I'm ever going to sell my GH5. It's a powerhouse beast even in 2023.😬

I've never seen such a clean tape job on any camera 😅
Props to you, also for the video 😉

I have the same feeling about my X-Pro 2. I always dreamed about having one, even back in the day when the X Pro 1 came out. Now after taking so many pictures with my Pro 2, i am still amazed how great the quality is and how much fun it makes. The only reason people upgrade their stuff, including phones, PCs and so on is excessive consumption.

Camera makers (along with the phone, automobile and God knows how many other industries) rely on users thinking that buying their upgraded products will, somehow, make the user experience better. It’s the photographer that takes the photo, not the camera.
I have an X-E2, bought new in 2014, and an X-H1, bought lightly used in 2021. Both are far better cameras that I am a photographer. 😂
Will I ever upgrade? Possibly. But it’s certainly not a priority.
Great video, Sir.

The intro reminds Dancer in the Dark… and that’s lovely.

I see a few people missing older gear they'd sold. Same thing here after selling my trusty old Pentax LX film camera. I'll need to find another one. Over time, you almost become one with the camera you use. It's about the familiarity, how it feels in the hand more than just the specs. Given time, we become one with new camera we buy and use. There are exceptions, of course. A new camera doesn't always fill our needs.

Thanks, man. It was nice to hear those concepts from you. Use what you have, make the most of what you already have, keep learning about your camera. Peace 📷
