Nobody is investigating your claim, they just want you to go away. You should report this to your local news station’s consumer protection advocate and hopefully they put this on the news and embarrass FB into refunding your money.

His name was Indiana Jhones like Indiana Jones? I heard Facebook Marketplace is where you should do local and cash. They can't snatch that back. And when someone asks for my phone number they get blocked. I look for some kind of posting history too. Sorry this happened.

I had this happen on a $200 item. It was HELL trying to get answers and in the end I lost because FB took too long to do anything and the credit card company closed the case and couldn't reopen it. From then on, I made a rule I would never sell anything on FB over $50. Never looking back. They don't have any support whatsoever - it's all computerized responses to prolong actual answers.

I used to sell on my local FBM. I stopped. Too many no-shows. Scammers. Wasting my time. Never again.

I’ve been scammed a few time by people selling stuff. FB isn’t doing anything about all the scamming. I no longer buy or sell on there anymore

until Facebook has customer support that you can talk with I will not use the service outside of local pick-up
