'I Hope & Pray That Vinesh Phogat Gets Gold For India' Says Babita Phogat In An Exclusive Talk

Vinesh Phogat's uncle and former Dronacharya awardee, Mahavir Phogat said that he is sure that Vinesh will win a Gold Medal this time.
Vinesh Phogat became the first Indian woman in the history of wrestling to reach the final in the Olympics.
Talking exclusively to India Today TV/ Aaj Tak, he said, "I am sure she will bring a Gold medal this time."

He further said that Vinesh Phogat's win was a "big slap" on former Wrestling Federation of India chief and former MP Brij Bhushan Singh.

Notably, Vinesh Phogat was among the wrestlers who staged months-long protest, demanding the removal of Singh as the WFI chief. They accused him of sexual harassment against seven wrestlers, including a minor.
