A lot more about Death Stranding 2 was shared, including the "Photo shoot event," which shocked many for being more advanced than the traditional photo mode that players have ever experienced. Some players have already decided to upgrade their devices to enjoy this new feature to the utmost.

The video clip showcases characters like Fragile, Rainy, and Tomorrow switching different poses and dancing freely in three different scenes, while Sam is catching a shot using a Polaroid-like camera. Players will receive a realistic-look photo soon after the shot, just like in real life. More interestingly, according to Game Director Hideo Kojima, the photo event could have some impact on the game's story.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will take things to an entirely new stratosphere, however, as new footage from the Tokyo Game Show reveals how you’ll be able to snap actresses Lea Seydoux, Shioli Kutsuna, and Elle Fanning as they mess about with some of the most realistic motion capture we’ve ever seen.

And according to Kojima, the Photo Mode will actually somehow affect the story. While he didn’t elaborate, the auteur explained it “would be better to take good pictures”. We wonder if taking bad pictures will somehow affect your relationship with the cast?

The game is set to release in 2025 exclusively for PS5 players. Unfortunately, despite the developer having a release date in mind, they decided to postpone the announcement of it at this year's Tokyo Game Show "due to some unforeseen circumstances." So, we'll have to be more patient to learn the accurate launch date a bit later.

The DHV Magellan is steered by doctor and captain Tarman, played by Australian director George Miller of Mad Max fame.

Elle Fanning also makes her video game debut in the role of Tomorrow, a naïve survivor brought from the realm of the dead.

Shioli Kutsuna plays Rainy, an expecting mother hoping to have a healthy child who will grow up to become an adult.

The goofy puppet-looking fellow Sam carries around is the aptly named Dollman, voiced by Turkish-German director Fatih Akin.

The new faces join the classic star-studded cast comprised of Norman Reedus (as Sam Bridges), Léa Seydoux (Fragile), and Nicolas Refn (Heartman).

Heartman deserves a shoutout for his impeccable fashion sense in this trailer, combining his classic suit with an exoskeleton and heart-shaped glasses.
