My daughter is a shop kid too. She just greased her headset bearings, swing arm bearings, linkage bearings and shock bearing on her 09 kx100. Britney has been getting tools for Christmas for a few years now. She has more tools then most of my friends lol. Come spring she gets to start restoration on her 1978 FORD BRONCO. She just got new dunlop geomax tires and next is the flywheel weight and skid plate. Her first rip on a 2 stroke mx bike was on my brand new 2018 yz250 with about 7 minutes on it. She's lucky her dad loves her.

Great information here. Thank you. A couple of small points if I may...the float bowl plug (17mm wrench) usually has an o-ring that should be checked for condition and being in place before re-installing the plug. Also, remember to retighten the two band clamps that secure the carburetor as a loose clamp  could lead to numerous issues some of which are serious and expensive to remedy. You are so wise to always start small screws and jets by hand as they are easy to cross thread. Thanks for keeping us all sharp and in tune with your tutorials.

Thanks for this. The Husq repair manual refers to the "Pilot" jet as the "Idle" or "Idling" Jet. That threw me for a loop. This visual helped.

Good job Megs. In this video you can also see a good example of how to loop the vent line to reduce losing fuel.

Between the pot metal and the brass, a carb is easily damaged. Great tutorial Megs! Is there anything you can’t do?

....not sure if you'd just finished a ride/race or just in a hurry to get back out and ride but you might want to hire one of the neighborhood kids to pressure wash those Huskys for ya' Megs (and put some soap in with the water, that thing's grubby!!)....you are after all a factory racer now!  Keep up the GREAT videos, be safe and have fun!  : )'

Hello, what size main and pilot jet do you recommend for the original carburetor? It currently has 170-60 on it, seems like it's burning a little too much fuel?

Don’t you want to run a leaner jet for higher altitudes?

Even better improvement would be swapping out that Mikuni for a 38mm keihin air striker!

This is probably common sense but just in case. Remember to turn your fuel petcock off first or you'll have a mess.
