Jean Shepherd was a genius! I listened to him in every venue, (on the old-time radio shows, recordings, CD, DVD, television and now You Tube). I still am mesmerized by America's best story-teller. His best shows were night radio shows (he was alone), simply telling several intertwined stories that were straight out of American experiences. His specific magic was that he wound a series of events (sometimes seemingly unconnected) into an incredibly satisfying & complete story. Along the way he'd make you laugh out loud with factoids that were beautifully presented. No one today has the grace, talent, improvisation, self-deprecation and beautiful delivery that this man had. I invite you to listen to all of those radio shows.

@2:34, “Ballet Mecanique” by the French composer Georges Antheil. He was a “bad boy” of French music in the ‘Twenties. 1920s, that is!
