Brewster B-239 (F2A-1) - Finland's War

This battle was from some time ago, early in 1.5.x's life cycle. I had a great evening flighted up with erdminger and dmarsha9; this battle was among the gems we chalked up that night.

When I was reviewing replays I had set aside I noted that this one featured mostly aircraft that participated in both the Winter War and the Continuation War, with dmarsha9 and myself flying the Sky Pearls and erdminger's Fat Wulf could certainly substitute for one of those big obsolete Dorniers that Finland had a handful of. The enemy team's planes that make appearances of any length on camera are all I-16s, so it works out perfectly with the setting for a Russo-Finnish battle.

I immediately recalled this song in Finnish and worked it into the video, I think it suits the character of the plane well and after listening to it several times I'm rather fond of the song itself.

Warning, the video does contain portrayal of a historically accurate paint scheme on my Brewster F2A-1 to put it into the guise of a Finnish B-239. As such this skin includes the Hakaristi, the roundel symbol used by the Finnish Air Force until after WWII. Traditionally a symbol of luck and good fortune the hakaristi was dropped from use due to its resemblance to the hated and banned swastika of the NSDAP. It is presented here for historical and educational reasons.

This will be the only video I produce this week due to my ensuing hunt for the Blohm und Voss Ha.137 "BeeVee". The game is afoot!

Good hunting!

A Flight of 3 very experienced players tear up a bunch of noobs, but there is a cool paint scheme featured!  And it's a great song, but you seriously should not be Flighting into those Tiers with experienced players. Talk about padding that win rating.
