Russia Ukraine conflict: World reaction to Putin’s invasion

Across the world people have been rallying in support of Ukraine, including in the UK where hundreds gathered outside Downing Street for the second day running, condemning Vladimir Putin and calling for more action by the West.

Meanwhile, the Government is facing calls to abandon visa restrictions for Ukranians which prevent them joining relatives in the UK.

The Home Office said this week it had suspended issuing visas to most Ukranians, although family of UK nationals would be prioritised.

The shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said people with family here in Britain should be able to join them "as a top priority" - without being held up by "bureaucracy and delay".

Canada has the biggest Ukrainian population outside of Russia, I hope we can bring a lot of these people here to be with their friends and families, we have lots of room.

I may be wrong - but did the USA, UK and Russia not guarantee Ukrainian boarders in the 1994 Budapest Memorandum after they encouraged Ukraine to give up all its nukes? Please research this

Danmark has already allocated 1000 apartments for Ukrainian refugees and more are available in 6-7 days if necessary. And our politicians are talking about giving them automatic work permits from day one.

Hypocrisy from Western politicians. When Israel was battering the Palestinians (who have no army, navy or air force) there was dead silence. Now that Ukraine's placing of natos weapons next door to Russia has caused a corrective reaction, everyone is getting upset. Ukraine knew full well placement of nato weapons is not going to be acceptable, especially after many years of warnings from Russia.
