Jurors in the trial of Florida school shooter Nikolas Cruz toured the building where he murdered 17 people in 2018. The 12 jurors and their 10 alternates were bused to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland along with the judge, prosecutors and Cruz's attorneys.

For anyone that doesn’t know, the 1200 building has been kept the exact same since February 14, 2018 because it still holds significance to the trial. For 4 1/2 years, this building has stood frozen in time in that moment. Desks still scattered, backpacks left, and even most chilling.. dried blood from the victims. It is absolutely crazy to me that something that happened almost half a decade ago still stands frozen in time from that tragic day. After the trial they are going to demolish it and build some sort of memorial. RIP to all of the victims and my condolences go out to everyone affected by this tragedy.

I remember the day like it was yesterday. Seeing the building just like it is in this video with the bullet holes in them. I still get chills every time I had to see that building for 4 years. This trial hasn't been easy for us, but rest assured we will get through this with love and strength from one another. Thank you to everybody who have been so thoughtful towards us in the Parkland community, your kind messages don't go unnoticed.

The bullet holes on the windows really set the tone. Kudos to the camera guy for getting relevant footage and not just holding the camera still like some do

My prayers are with the jurors, especially tonight. They’ve seen and heard the unimaginable, but to go into the building where so many beautiful souls left their bodies, I can’t imagine. Walking through, I’m sure each innocent face, name and story were matched up to certain spots in the jurors minds. How do you recover from that. It’s beyond devastating that these lives, and others were not protected. It’s beyond appalling that schools are still not protecting our children and staff. My tears won’t stop, how badly I wish these parents and families had their loved ones back.

I was part of a jury where we actually visited a crime scene, obviously much smaller than an entire school building. But the impact is astronomical. Reading or seeing a picture of something is heavy, but being able to smell the stench of sadness, feel the debris under your shoes, it makes walking feel impossible. It’s terrifying the damage people can do.
Thoughts are with these jurors.

Could you imagine going to court thinking that you were going to hear testimony and then the judge says " Jurors we are going to go to the scene of the crime?" My thoughts are with them tonight!!

I can’t imagine what awful remnants are left! When is this nightmare going to be over for the victims’ families!

Listening to the reporters talk that were drawn to go in was devastating. They haven't had to sit through hours of video and pictures but they will never be able to think about this & go to bed with out having nightmares. So I can't imagine what the jurors are going through, imagine seeing that and not being able to talk it out with anyone! I hope they are all able to get therapy after this trial ends. They will think they are fine but it will end up causing nightmares. It truly breaks my heart for everyone involved. Watching the police officers with tears rolling down their faces while they hear testimony from the families breaks my heart. The families listening to what their children went through and being in the same room with their killer has to be the hardest thing they have ever done! Everyone involved in this needs prayer and therapy.

This needs to stop and they need to set a example. Death Penalty all the way

Hoping they would clean up the blood afterwards (before its demolish!). Their innocent blood shouldn't be left there like that. Its hauntingly terrifying

This changes the lives of the jurors, too. The extent of his actions is enormous

why does it take nearly five years for the legal system to do its duty? It is a ridiculously long time to wait for justice.

Nicklos should have been made to go today relive what he did!!!!

I'm shocked he didn't jump at the opportunity to go to the scene. If not just to "relive" the brazen attack but for a way out of jail- momentarily. Both of those factors make me feel like this was a defense strategy to make him appear less psychotic. I'm ready for the day of demolishing this building as I'm sure the community is too. Too bad his demise can't come as quickly as the buildings will.

I would receive shivers entering that building… im not even sure how the kids who have to go to class there daily can even focus without thinking about the fact that 4 years ago bodies were spread arund the grounds of that building….

Nick Cruz will either be in prison for the rest of his life or dead in 10-15 yrs. There is no easy way out for the young man who did this terrible deed.

The best thing we can hope for in this situation is healing for the families and for this to be an opportunity for them to grow closer to Christ or accept Him by faith if they havent. And to pray for Nick Cruz to come to Christ and be saved. May God make good out of this horrible situation for His glory.

I’m not against the 2nd amendment at all, it’s everyone’s right to own any gun of their choosing. However, having kids die at school, ridiculous
