I wonder if making panels that go at the sides of the cardigan would fix the width issue, instead of making wider ribbing at the front. That way you could add width where it is needed. Having narrower ribbing would allow the front panels to be more visible and keep the fun look of this cardigan intact.

I was wondering if you'd notice you were holding the book upside down. That's soooo something I would do! LOL Glad you're feeling better and I guess I have to grab that book too. Oh and 23 pages? This has to be an amazing shawl! Can't wait to see it!

Hey maybe you can do the last row of your cuff, the one connected to he sleeve, in a different color just to break them up? Either way will be good though tbh.
