Elvira's Valentine - Altspace VR World tour (music)

When you're gifted an incredible Gothic Cathedral template in virtual reality, its got to be transformed into something special! Envisioning a fantastic Airbnb-type retreat with comfortable furniture, a library nook, and mysterious glowing energy portals, I created this world "Elvira's Valentine" as a surprise for a friend who might remind you of Dr. Strange. I wanted him to have a secret lair for a VR party and found photos to match the theme, including the astrological stained glass panels on the first floor from a historic property in the UK.

As the world evolved, it was a fun challenge to light the space using effects from talented builders MasonVR, ZMan, Niko, and others. The skybox is a 360 photo I took in Grand Turk, and that beautiful blue sky created a lovely contrast to the dark interior. After working for a few more hours to complete how I intended it to look, I filmed this slow-paced flythrough tour on the last night of Altspace in March, 2023. While I never got to 'open' this world and we never had that "Goth Valentine's Day" party, I'm glad I have this film!
