𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐈𝐌𝐒), 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 conducted 𝐍𝐄𝐔𝐑𝐎-𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐘 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄, focusing on ‘Optimizing the Outcome—Knowledge is the ‘Key’’. Organized by 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐨 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲 in collaboration with 𝐑𝐑 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 & 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞, the CME witnessed multiple lectures & sessions. The participating delegates from Bareilly, Haldwani, Rudrapur, Lucknow, Meerut, Dehradun, Pilibhit & Shahjahanpur explored latest advancements in brain tumor treatment & Neurosurgery.

The CME was inaugurated by 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐃𝐞𝐯 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐢, Chairman SRMS Trust & Chief Guest Professor 𝐃𝐫 𝐒𝐊 𝐆𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐚, Senior Neurologist, PGIMER Chandigarh in the presence of 𝐃𝐫 𝐌𝐒 𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐚, Principal IMS; Organizing Chairman Professor 𝐃𝐫 𝐊𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐯 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐡𝐚; Organizing Secretary 𝐃𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐒𝐚𝐡; Co- Organizing Secretary 𝐃𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐢 (all from Neuro Surgery Department, IMS); 𝐃𝐫 𝐑𝐏 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐡, MS & other dignitaries. During his opening address, 𝐃𝐫 𝐒𝐊 𝐆𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐚 emphasised on preservation of quality of life while operating complex brain tumors.

Eminent faculties from leading institutions like 𝐀𝐈𝐈𝐌𝐒 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐡, 𝐀𝐈𝐈𝐌𝐒 𝐑𝐚𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢, 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐆𝐮𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦, 𝐌𝐀𝐌𝐂 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐡𝐢 presented various Glioma & Skull-base sessions. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐰𝐚𝐥 (SGPGI Lucknow) & 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚 (AMU Aligarh) discussed about brain tumor removal through binocular method. SRMS Medicos 𝐃𝐫 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐣 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢, 𝐃𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫 & 𝐃𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢 spoke on current advancements in detecting brain tumor & treating cancer through radiotherapy. 𝐃𝐫 𝐊𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢 𝐃𝐚𝐬 & 𝐃𝐫 𝐀𝐫𝐮𝐧 𝐒𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐯𝐚 (SGPGI Lucknow), and 𝐃𝐫 𝐏𝐢𝐲𝐮𝐬𝐡 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫 & 𝐃𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐞𝐧 (SRMS IMS) discussed the challenges faced during the treatment of brain tumor. The CME finally concluded with an informative panel discussion moderated by 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐰𝐚𝐥.
