Honestly clark using his alter ego to present the community is so damn cool, near the end of season one the city stood up for superman during the parasite incident and in a way this is him trying to help the city outside of the suit

I like how this universes lex and Amanda have an actual reason to hate Superman rather then them just being jealous of his power or there lack of control of him like in the comics but rather most of Superman’s rogues got there powers from kryptonian tech so if Superman never came to earth all these criminals wouldn’t have there hands on all this dangerous world ending level alien technology I also love the explanation on why lex is the way he is he spent most of his young life working for Steve Jobs types of CEOs that would take credit for his work to repurpose it and turn it into a weapon and ironically lex uses the same tactic that he learned from them and euses it to buy John Henry irons company meaning the steel armor belongs to lex

This Superman episode should be called fullmetal Easter eggs. At this point I am waiting for Wonder Woman to make her first appearance in this show and the Dark Knight of Gotham since Vicki Vale is going to be a recurring character for Lois.

This episode had a lot happening in it, yet it felt like it could have done more. Clark is clearly having a harder time balancing his life as Clark Kent and Superman with Sam Lane in Clark and Jimmy's apartment. Not to mention that this episode is hinting that Sam is going to learn about Clark being Superman. Plus, Clark is still unable to talk about the Kara situation with Lois. To make things even more complicated, Lois has to deal with her rivalry with Vicki Vale. I do like the inclusion of Silas Stone and especially John Henry Irons. Superman does seem to admire John Henry Irons. Apparently, Flip is related to John Henry Irons, which I like. Also, Livewire seems to be back as a hired mercenary. It's unfortunate that she managed to escape, but she at least knows that she doesn't stand a chance against Superman on her own. Nice to see Superman and John Henry Irons work together to stop the Metallo robots and save the city from being destroyed by the AmerTek tower, with a little help from Flip. While I do think that Vicki does genuinely respect Lois, I honestly don't think that Lois should take the job offer. Lois is letting her admiration towards Vicki blind her to the fact Vicki has lost some journalistic integrity in her pursuit of scoops. The only way that it makes sense for Lois to even take the job is to set up Superman meeting Batman. Unfortunately, once again, Clark and Lois fail to communicate how they are feeling, as Clark has to write an article just when Lois needs to talk about Vicki's offer. Seriously though, Gotham is a far more dangerous place to live than Metropolis, even with Batman. Clark did make a great article about John Henry Irons, which shows Clark's humility, humanity, and how he believes in people. Too bad Lex Luthor had to ruin it by legitimately taking over AmerTek, hinting at the rise of LexCorp, taking away John's Steel suit, and giving Amanda Waller an army of Metallo robots. I'm still waiting for the official meeting between Lex Luthor and Superman, and I even hope that Lex meets him as Clark Kent to see how he reacts differently to Clark and Superman.
