Sam: I quickly came to the realization that there's no such thing as a cheap Range Rover.
Dude, I've been watching you for a couple of years now and I would have thought you learned that lesson well before now.

I genuinely get disappointed when your videos end. they are AWESOME! informative, accurate, funny and very well shot. HUGE respect!

I love your Range Rover videos more so than any of your other fixes. It’s like this labyrinth of fault codes that keep you guessing till the last vid where you get fed up and send the car away!

Back in 2009 I was looking to buy a Suv with four wheel drive. The choices were 2000 4runner or 97 Range Rover. The Range Rover was selling for 3k and the 4runner for 6k. I'm lucky to have made the right decision as I'm still using the 4runner as my daily vehicle.

Do you think Land Rover had youtubers in mind when this designed these things? They are endless content machines!

I literally lol'd when you said 'since the lifetime of most Jaguar/Range Rover products is 2/3 years'...! Fantastic

Haven't been traumatized enough by the last range rover! Well at least it's a nice interior for when you're fed up working on it!

You are a brave man, here in the UK the Range Rover does not enjoy a good reputation and the reliability
index is one of the worst.
Yes they are a wonderful form of transport when they are working, but they never stay that way for long.
Best of luck with repairing it.

My 2001 LR2 Land Rover has 276, 000 miles on it and still runs like a top! Might have done a 5.3 LS along with a t-56 trans swap at 110, 000 miles. Might have gotten rid of the air ride and put 4" lift springs on it. Might have gotten rid of the hydraulic system, the diffs and transfer case, but it's still an LR2 on paper! The key to having a reliable Land Rover is to replace anything that Land Rover installed outside of the cab!

Any land rover with 100, 000 miles is ready for the junkyard

A classic Samcrac purchase 😀 I watch a lot of Range Rover repair videos, as they are generally entertaining, but the main thing I learn from them is to not buy a Range Rover!

I bought a range rover at an auction. I had to replace the breaks, rotors and alternator. I took it to the shop to see what else was wrong. They told me I needed about $8000 worth of work plus a new transmission. I change all fuses, including the relays. The trans was off by a mere .01 seconds when the rover tech ran a diag. So I didnt replace the trans. That was 2 years ago. Replacing the fuses saved me thousands in supposed repairs. Ive had no problem since.

Best way with ABS is to open bleeder valve and then push pistons back. Debris will empty out the bleeder and not go back up into the ABS valve body. Otherwise great risk of causing one of the ABS isolation valves to stick open, keeping brake lightly applied to affected wheel all the time. Seen it hundreds of times and gets expensive real fast when having to replace entire ABS hydro unit.

It was a little hard to tell but I think the piston tool was in upside down. The curve of the tool is supposed to match the curve of the pad. Flip it around and it might have fit.

The old model Land Rovers..were great machines. Also the Nissan Patrol no longer sold here was unbreakable.
