For anyone who was wondering about this (like me), the newer version has a file called ".gitignore" listed on the screen shown at about 5:20.

He manually creates one about twelve minutes in (I guess newer versions create it automatically), so go ahead and leave it checked.

This tutorial still works for Eclipse Neon 3 (2017). The differences is minor, which does not bother you to flow the instructions from the video. Thank you, DrBFraser.

Your examples were helpful.  The only suggestion is that you might want to address the "fast-forward" error that many people get when first setting up Eclipse with GitHub.
