Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! Today we're learning how to make a Worry Doll pen. Worry Dolls are small handmade dolls that come from Guatemala, which is a country in Central America. In Spanish, this is called Muñeca Quitapena. Guatemalan children tell their worries at night before placing the dolls under the pillows. And by the morning, the dolls gift them wisdom and knowledge to get rid of their worries.

I love this tradition! I actually bought a worry doll pin from a Free Trade non-profit store, but didn’t know what it was. Thanks for your explanation. 😊(we call that ‘chenille stem’ you are using a ‘pipe cleaner’ here 🇨🇦).
