How to Find the New Moon in Your Chart

Do you like to set intentions at each New Moon? Did you know that you have extra power for intentions related to the themes of each SIGN and HOUSE that the New Moon is in? In Jan Spiller's book, New Moon Astrology, she outlines the theme for each sign the New Moon is in and offers sample wishes that have extra potency during the time of that New Moon. However, many clients have asked me how they can locate the House the New Moon will fall in their chart each month.

In this how-to video, I explain how the chart wheel layout works and how you can learn to find where the New Moon will fall each month. You will need to find a good guide to the Astrological glyphs, if you don't know how to read those symbols. If you don't know the meaning of each house, you will also need to find this out. I recommend Jan Spiller's book, Spiritual Astrology, to get the guide to the glyphs and houses, but these resources are also widely available online.

The New Moon is in a different degree and sign each month (ever so rarely signs repeat two months in a row, but it won't be the same degree).

PS - A small error is in this video. When I describe the 11th house as starting at 12 degrees Capricorn, it actually starts at 4 degrees Capricorn, 12 minutes. The way you can double check yourself is to see if there is a planet at a certain degree near the house edge. In this case, Neptune at 3 degrees Capricorn in the 10th house tipped me off (after I made the video, oops) that the 11th house actually started at 4 degrees Capricorn. Even the pros have to double check themselves :-)

Correction: at 15:54 I say that the 11th house starts at 15 degrees Capricorn 4 minutes, when in reality, the house begins at 4 degrees Capricorn, 15 minutes! A good clue is the planet Neptune at 3 degrees Capricorn right at the edge of the 10th house.
