Custom Made Outdoor 4G 5G Modem/Router

In many cases where the mobile device is at a longer distance from the base station or is shadowed by various obstacles, there are problems with adequate signal strength. Usually, the problems can be solved by connecting the modem to a suitable external/outdoor antenna. Sometimes such an antenna cannot promise the faster speed therefore you need an outdoor 4G/5G modem/router.

Our custom made outdoor modem/router is chosen from a good grade of IP65 box and hardware.

Why would you put 5G in the video when the modem uses 3G/4G. That's why it's under $100

Thank you for posting this video. I can't believe the horrible comments below. I thought this video was very well done and helpful to the novice trying provide internet to an RV with an external modem/router sitting close to the antenna. Thank you for the time and effort to post and create this video. It helps me to get to where I want to be with our build.

To add a bit :
1. Need to add some weather-proofing (rubber tape, sealant) to that case before you close it especially if you're putting it outdoors
2. Proper grounding is very important. Devices connected to outdoor antenna/poles via cable will be fried if that antenna got stroked with a lightning. For example: your computer > indoor router > outdoor modem/antenna (all via ethernet cables). Just remember that your house's circuit breaker aren't gonna protect your motherboard and router if you literally bypassed it with a lan cable to an outdoor antenna.

did you just drill a hole in your water proofed box?

The ping is unusual.
Also, you should use 2 antennas because LTE mostly uses 2x2 MiMo or even 4x4 MiMo.

Perfectly Done very innovative. But it may be not for hot areas since the outdoor wifi works upto 80 Deg. Celsius.

waterproof ok, but no ventilation will damage because overheating. You should intall 1-2 fans on and small holes with window net for cooling.

Ping is too high. Better use outdoor antenna than this and buy router with m.2 interface for module
