In remembrance of singer/songwriter Boris Gerald Jennings aka Boris The G-Man.
Boris was born May 4, 1957 in Amityville, New York to Hollis Leon Jennings, Sr. and Doris Jackson Jennings, and was the third of six children. Boris G. attended school in Copiague, New York and then in Ossining, New York, where he graduated from Ossining High School. Boris G. was a member of the Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he sang in the youth choir.
Boris G. worked as a designer for Printex, designing scarves and tablecloths for Vera. He attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Boris G. enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served his country from 1977 to 1981. During this time he married and that marriage produced two children, Tai Sharee and Sasha Star who also crafted his gift as a musician.
After the Air Force Boris G worked briefly as an electrician for Metro North Railroad. His passion for music drew him to work in the music industry, where he performed all over the world.
Boris Gerald Jennings, tools are his incredible voice, production and songwriting skills. He was considered a true genius in the recording studio. Boris began performing in and around N.Y.C. with his band (The G-Force Band) that was later called The New Order of Gypsies. Boris then joined the band (Glass Hands) and performed in clubs like the Left Bank, Ritz, C.B.G.B.'s Danceateria and so on. After performing all the major clubs in N.Y.C., Boris decided to move to Europe to bring his style of funk, rock and soul around the world.
Boris has worked with or opened shows for many great artists such as the Commodores, Kool and the Gang, Heat Wave, Jocelyn Brown, MC Lyte, Joe, Kurtis Blow, Coolio, Tony Terry, The S.O.S. Band, Miles Jay, Michael Cooper, Soul 2 Soul, Bobby Brown, Chaka Khan, Fonda Ray, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Moon Baker, Evelyn ''Champagne'' King and many more...
During his time living in Europe, Boris recorded two number one hits and has performed at almost all the major concert venues such as The Black Celebrity Awards (London), Montruex Jazz Fest (Switzerland), North Sea Jazz Fest (Holland), Montreal Jazz Fest (Canada) and also performed with the Hannover Philharmonic Orchestra with Club music Legend Mousse T. (Germany).
The song ''Burning Hot! is taken from an obscure 12'' released in small numbers when Boris was living in Germany.
