The Tualatin tribe, part of the Kalapuya people, traditionally lived in the Willamette Valley of Oregon along the Tualatin River. They relied on fishing, hunting, and gathering, with salmon as a central food source. Skilled in crafting tools, baskets, and canoes, they were organized into small villages led by chiefs. The tribe was displaced by European settlers in the mid-1800s and is now part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, working to preserve their cultural heritage.
