A year ago, when i used to do Kartik Puja everyday, i went out for some coffee with friends .
While we were having coffee, 2 peacocks come out from the adjacent park and started strutting near me.
One of them stopped, tilted its head and directly looked into my eyes and then went away !
Well peacocks are Kartikeya Bhagwan's vahan . What more can we say ❤❤

Its because, peacock is Murugan's vahana and how it became, when Karthikeya/Murugan killed the asura Sooran, instead of killing him, He was kind to him and split Asura into two and made into peacock and Rooster. Peacock became his vahana and Rooster in His flag. We can see their presence where Karthikeya prayers happens, if not physically due to geographical reasons, we see them someother forms some how after the pooja. Many have witnessed and felt his presence. He is also called Kaliyuga God.

Peacock is lord Murugan's Vaganam. It will come whenever his temples are present. Once have a visit to any one of the "Aarru Padai Vedu" temples (Total 6 Temples) in Tamil Nadu. You'll see the actual happenings. In Tamil they is saying "Velum mayilum thunai"... means 'Vel' his weapon and 'Mayil' the peacock is there for muruga baktha's protection. Om Saravanabava!!🙏
