The reason you're confused by the lyrics is because you are looking at it through the lens of romance. This song is about 2 souls finding each other throughout eternity and waiting to meet again in another life and beyond.

This song made me cry on multiple occasions and I could never tell why. it healed something in me that I didn't know was broken and boy when I say those emotions were very intense.

Well that's uh, an interpretation...

I think to me it's pretty clear that this track (and the album as a whole) is about life and death, letting go of your physical embodiment in this space and time, embracing that your spirit is whole and wholely eternal.
"From all that was before we shut another door, but not a last goodbye"
"Before the dawn of man and castles made of sand, there you'll find me. (Let me go.)"
"Writing in the caves, as fires light the way, there you'll find me."

It's okay to embrace death as a conduit, to accept and believe that, whether we recognize it or not, our spirits will meet again in another time, another place, even another dimension. That's what I feel, and I think the music really captured that feeling to perfection.

This song is a fictional story, about two lovers that live as partners in several lives, they die in one life, and meet up again in the Cosmic, then join for another life again.. like two souls that lives on forever as a pair..
If you like this kind, this whole album is a journey, maybe a little weird concept, but i fancy it as a album i go back to, and listen to from start to finish.. its a experience you didnt have before..

The tension in the rising tone in the left ear in the LET IT GO section really feels like your moment of death, trying to hold on to everything you have, but you need to just let it go. Then it's silence and you are among the starts. Pretty cool feeling.

If you really want something related to mental health off of this album, you should definitely check out “Game Over” which is the opening track. It’s meaning is mostly revealed at the end, but the majority of the song is really beautiful besides the dark message

This is one of the most emotional songs I can remember ever listening to. It defineteley stirs many feelings deep inside. I think the album is masterpiece, and I do not say that lightly.

This song gives me goosebumps everytime. It's so freaking good.

I can't describe how it makes me feel which is I guess what music is supposed to do. It's one of those songs that touches my soul and heals something that was broken inside of me.

Having lost so many people, including my parents less than a year and a half apart unexpectedly, very recently makes this song all the more impactful. I love the concept after dying in this life we become a part of the cosmos. “Dancing in the wind as roses born again, there you’ll find me.”

You're not feeling the song. Your body language says it

I heard Life is but a Dream at the Las Vegas immersive show 3 weeks before it released and this song made me cry so hard. I lost a friend to suicide who was a huge fan of A7X the day before they announced this album. This song hits hard because I wish she could’ve listened to it.

I got so much more from this reaction than I have from most other reactions to this song. I love your angle and your natural ability to explain your interpretation!

I let addiction change me to the point i because the very person i grew up hating, she always tried pulling me out and the love she showed was unlike anything i felt but i wouldnt let myself see it til it was too late and pushed her out of my life. Those moments i sit and remember how she was to me blows my mind because i was so blinded by addiction and now its to late. I do cry when i hear this song because it pulls me to a place of acknowledgement, its been rough but theres always a better tomorrow as long as we strive for it.

I will not even do an injustice the AV7 and pretend that I didn’t get to a room in my house as fast as I could away from everyone so no one in my family could see the intense sobbing I could not hold back once I locked the door behind me 😢 I needed this song so bad it’s not east being a man who has to be tough all the time

I think everyone has a different lens and that's okay. I'm not saying anyone is wrong, but I cry every time this song comes on. *Crying as I type this out haha* I have a very deep connection with this song and that's why it's my favorite song off this album. 2 things:

1.If anyone has seen the movie Interstellar, (you should already know) if you haven't, you should, it will make you understand the concept if there was no god (theoretically speaking). Which also makes you understand the beauty of life through space and time.

2. I lost my sister to suicide in the fall of 2015. From Interstellar, I call her "My Ghost."

I cry every time at the slow part after "Dancing in the wind, as roses born again, there you'll find me." After every "there you'll find me" I start bubbling up, because in my eyes my sister is with me everywhere I go. The ascending "Let it go" is supposed to simulate entering another life. Then soft electronic textures to simulate you have made it into the afterlife and then the explosive hit to simulate "The Big Bang, ." the start of your afterlife. From there, I'm a mess. I'm a mess right now. but, if you'd like a more broad understanding, watch the music video. The music makes me cry too. I am thoroughly convinced that you only have one life, and it is so precious in today's world, so let's not waste it.
