England may well keep pushing on with this 'bazball', and Stokes may gush at how proud he is of the way they played, but they will soon get tired of losing test matches, I guarantee it 💯

I think the declaration on day one might have had some merit if there had been two tailenders at the crease. But Joe Root was there unbeaten on 118. He was scoring quickly too. It was a mistake and Stokes knows it.

I would love to see 'em try playing Bazball in Indian, Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi pitches. (can't include Pakistan because they always prepare flat tracks)

As an Aussie, I think England did well. I don't think they did much wrong and the declaration was courageous. Nothing wrong with that. It was a gamble, it didn't work, so be it. It was an awesome test. They only lost by two wickets it's not like they were pumped.
Many of our guys didn't produce, but a few really did. A more even performance next test could be bad news for the poms.

As an Englishmen ill be very surprised if we win a single test. The teams are a total mismatch. Australia battling line up is just to good. We have Crawley still opening averaging 28 after 34 tests. We are experimenting with Brooks and our best spinner is out. With jimmy off the boil too I don't understand how people are shockiped by this result.

People are bewitched by the scoring rates of batsmen but forget that bowlers need rest. England has a bowling attack of old men and their batsmen are giving them little time to rest. Australia can be smart and actually slow their own scoring down. Take no risks and use the time the poms are give them to build big totals. If Australia make England bowl 130 overs, Broad, Anderson and Co will get little rest... they'll break down by the third test.

Perhaps everyone is forgetting about how Bazball came about and where England were 2 years ago. There is no pleasing some of you. Frankly, I still think England will win the Ashes this time around, though not 5-0 anymore....maybe 4-1.
