Traffics Low Spark and Yes’s Fragile came out on the same day in 1971 and as a College student, money was tight, it was near to Christmas too. I suppose, the sensible thing to have done would have been, to wait and ask relatives to buy me an album for Xmas.
But how could anyone, wait four weeks to buy a new album from 2 of your favourite bands?? Not me anyways, I bought both albums and was broke for the next month, with the extra worries of buying Xmas gifts.
On the plus, I didn’t mind not being able to go out, as long as could listen to my music and have some smokes that’s all that mattered .
